This project is a very good example of traditional natural Portland stone and glazed white bricks being used on a contemporary design and incorporated as precast panels. The site is in Soho and has extremely limited access , hence just in time delivery scheduled to exacting standards was essential.
There are two principle elevations , the front being formed of the stone clad units and the rear utilising the glazed white bricks.
The installation of all the cladding units only required a 3 week slot split into 2 visits and so the impact was minimal in terms of disruption to the local area but at the same time a very quick envelope solution allowed for the glazing and windows to follow on straight after.
