Ravenscourt Project Page

Ravenscourt Road, London

This project features some heavily profiled brick detailing along with patterned precast window reveals cast off rubber mats that were formed off a specific pattern chosen by the architect.

In order to manage the cost of the finishes the white stone / recon look alike elements are all grey concrete painted with Keim paint applied, again to a colour chosen by the architect from samples prepared and presented by Thorp.

The site is in a heavily residential part of Hammersmith so the emphasis on keeping noise , dust and general nuisance to a minimum was paramount and the precast punch window units used on all elevations leant themselves to this providing just in time delivery off loaded from the road outside the project , providing a fast enclosure of the structure with limited noise or disruption to the local environment.

The works were all installed using the site tower crane and access for finishing and sealant was gained by use of temporary suspended cradles.
