Gas Triplets, kings Cross, London
The Triplets project sits just North of St Pancras station directly adjacent to the Thorp P1 and R1 projects. It comprises of 3 separate towers (8, 9 and 11 storey) that are connected by the original refurbished cast-iron gas-holder structure. The buildings use is for high spec residential apartments.
Thorp commenced installation of the 180 cladding panels from Nov 2015. The panels have a self finished (Reckli rubber) texture to them. The ground floor panels were underslung and were transported into place using specially fabricated trolleys. Above Ground floor each panel was lifted above 11 storeys into the internal drum of the structure where they were hthen installed. Thorp are also installing the firestopping and insulation internally after the cladding has been installed.
